A Letter to Our Supporters
A Letter to Our Supporters
Dear friend,
I’m sure you are fully aware of the importance of breastfeeding for babies, moms and society. Allergies, childhood obesity and breast cancer all could be reduced by simply increasing the number of new mothers who nurse and feed their babies naturally. The science is clear. The need is great, and the time is right. But to be honest, as advocates of breastfeeding, the battle is far from won.
As the Breast Milk Baby doll ambassador in the US, I am reaching out to you in the hope that you will be willing to lend us a much needed hand.
Our Breast Milk Baby dolls support and encourage breastfeeding. Over the past year we have been working diligently to bring our beautiful high quality dolls into retail outlets all over the country, but the truth is it’s just not working. The attitudes toward breastfeeding and the social taboo it still unfortunately represents are creating obstacles that a small company like Berjuan Toys can’t overcome. The owners of the factory in Spain have all but given up on the U.S. market for these wonderful dolls.
That’s why we are reaching out to people like you to help us get our message out there. To put it simply — we need your help to raise awareness for this cause.
To save the Breast Milk Baby dolls from leaving the US forever, we want to offer all your fans and followers 50% discount off our dolls by using the promo code XMAS on our online store. In addition, for every doll we sell between now and Christmas, we will contribute $5 to support local grassroots breastfeeding initiatives.
This is more than just about selling dolls for me and Berjuan Toys, it’s because we genuinely believe in the importance of our mission. If kids grow up knowing that the normal healthy way to feed a baby is by breastfeeding, together we will have achieved something truly amazing.
However, the general attitude in this country towards breastfeeding has placed our project in serious jeopardy. Therefore, over the course of the next few weeks we’re going to try and get people talking again. Hopefully, with a little light-hearted humor we can start raising awareness and provoking thoughtful conversations. Will you support us?
Don’t let the dolls leave.
Our country will be a sadder place without the Breast Milk Babies.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Sincerely,
The Breast Milk Babies
